DIGSI 5 is the versatile engineering tool for parameterization, commissioning and operating all SIPROTEC 5 devices. Its innovative user interface includes context-sensitive user instructions. Simple connection to the device via USB enables you to work with a device easily and efficiently. The full capabilities of DIGSI 5 are revealed when you connect it to a network of protection devices: Then you can work with all of the devices in a substation in one project.DIGSI 5 offers superior usability and is optimized for your work processes. Only the information you actually need to carry out your tasks is shown. These can be reduced further using expanded filter mechanisms. The consistent use of sophisticated, uniform mechanisms in the user interfaces requires less training. For the system engineering of DIGSI 5 parameterized devices, the IEC 61850 system configurator is used. The IEC 61850 system configurator is used for the system integration of DIGSI 4 devices. The IEC 61850 system configurator is the manufacturer-neutral solution for the interoperable engineering of IEC 61850 products and systems. The tool supports the SCL (Substation Configuration Description Language) configuration files from the IEC 61850-6 through import or export of all formats (ICD/IID/CID/SCD/SSD/SED). Thus, IEC 61850 devices can be added and a complete IEC 61850 station is available for the substation automation Technology.
Functions:
With a PC or a notebook, you can parameterize the devices via the interfaces and export and visualize the fault data. DIGSI 5 comes in different variants (Compact, Standard, and Premium) that provide different functionalities:
Languages: English, German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Czech, Polish and Russian.
DIGSI 5 is available in three function packages:
DIGSI 5 Compact:
Software for configuration and use of individual SIPROTEC 5 protection devices manufactured by Siemens and reading out process data from SIPROTEC 5 devices (projects are limited to a single device).
DIGSI 5 Standard:
As for DIGSI 5 Compact, but without constraint as to the number of SIPROTEC 5 devices supported per project, including system configurator for IEC 61850.
The editors for function charts (CFC), graphic single line and device configuration are also included. SIGRA for professional fault record analysis is available as an option.

Siemens DIGSI 4 Engineering software for SIPROTEC 4 and SIPROTEC Compact
The PC operating program DIGSI 4 is the user interface to the SIPROTEC devices. It is designed with a modern, intuitive user interface. With DIGSI 4, SIPROTEC devices are configured and evaluated it is the tailored program for industrial and energy distribution systems. For the system engineering of DIGSI 4 parameterized devices, the IEC 61850 system configurator is used. The IEC 61850 system configurator is the manufacturer-neutral solution for the interoperable engineering of IEC 61850 products and systems. The tool supports the SCL (Substation Configuration Description Language) configuration files from the IEC 61850-6 through import or export of all formats (ICD/IID/CID/SCD/SSD/SED).Thus, IEC 61850 devices can be added and a complete IEC 61850 station is available for the substation automation Technology.
Simple protection setting
From the numerous protection functions it is possible to easily select only those which are really required. This increases the clearness of the other menus.
Device setting with primary or secondary values
The settings can be entered and displayed as primary or secondary values. Switching over between primary and secondary values is done with one mouse click in the tool bar.
Assignment matrix
The DIGSI 4 matrix shows the user the complete configuration of the device at a glance. For example, the assignment of the LEDs, the binary inputs and the output relays are displayed in one image. With one click, the assignment can be changed.
CFC: Projecting the logic instead of programming
With the CFC (continuous function chart), it is possible to link and derive information without software knowledge by simply drawing technical processes, interlocks and operating sequences. Logical elements such as AND, OR, timers, etc., as well as limit value requests of measured values are available.
Commissioning
Special attention has been paid to commissioning. All binary inputs and outputs can be set and read out in targeted way. Thus, a very simple wiring test is possible. Messages can be sent to the serial interface deliberately for test purposes.
The operating and parameterization program Reydisp is the basic software used for the configuration of the Reyrolle range of protection relays. It provides a user-friendly tool with the built-in tutorial, help file, and manual which reduces the requirement for additional training. This intuitive software allows the viewing and editing of settings, viewing fault information, configuring the relays language, IDMT curves, and communication data points.
When configuring Reyrolle devices with the optional IEC 61850 Ethernet communication ports the Reydisp Manager PC software should be used. This software provides the additional configuration tools to ensure an efficient 61850 engineering process.
The Reydisp Manager can also be used with the latest releases of the 7SR210 and 7SR220 devices.
Reydisp Evolution and Reydisp Manager are free of charge and can be downloaded directly from this site. The PC-program works with common Windows operating systems incl. Windows XP.
Reydisp Evolution is a Windows based suite of software tools, providing the means for the user to fully configure the relay and is common to the entire range of Reyrolle protection relays.
The setting configuration tool allows the user to apply settings, interrogate settings and retrieve events and disturbance waveforms from the device.
The Language Editor software gives the user the ability to customize the text displayed in the relays, Menu structure, and instrumentation views.
The tool allows a language file to be created and transferred to the relay containing any Western European characters. To facilitate easier interfacing to a substation the relays default Protocol configuration may be modified using the communication editor software tool. The communication editor is a PC-based software package provided within the Reydisp suite which allows modification of the data points available from the relays associated with the IEC 60870-5-103, DNP 3.0 and MODBUS Protocols.
The Curve Editor software allows the creation of IDMTL curves for Reyrolle relays, to allow the user to have more flexibility when grading with other devices. It can import existing curves, create new curves from templates and send the curves to the relay.
