The Reyrolle 7SR10 Argus overcurrent and earth fault relay is a numerical overcurrent protection relay intended as a low-cost solution for distribution and industrial applications.The Reyrolle 7SR10 Argus overcurrent and earth fault relay is developed using the latest generation of hardware technology and is available in multiple variants depending on the power supply, Binary input/binary output configuration and data communication facility.Housed in a 4U high, size 4 non-draw-out case and these relays provide protection, monitoring, instrumentation, and metering with integrated input and output logic, data logging, and fault reports. Communication access to the relay functionality is via a front USB port for local PC connection or rear electrical RS485 (optional) port for remote connection.

  • It has Universal power supply suitable for both AC and DC. 
  • 1A and 5A CT selectable at site. Basic communication protocol like MODBUS RTU and IEC 103 available and they are also site selectable. Relay are equipped with sufficient number of DI/DO i.e. upto 6 DI and 6 DO. 
  • 7SR1003 is designed for current based protection and 7SR1004 is available with additional voltage inputs to take care of voltage based protections. 7SR1005 is designed for motor protection application.

Reyrolle 7SR105 Rho motor protection relay is a numerical protection relay intended for use in the motor protection applications. It provides a highly comprehensive functional software package with a range of integral application functions aimed at reducing installation, wiring, and engineering time.

Features

The device is housed in a 4U high, size 4 non-withdrawable case and these relays provide protection, monitoring, instrumentation, and metering with integrated input and output logic, data logging and fault reports. Communication access to the relay functionality is via a front USB port for local PC connection or rear electrical RS485 port for remote connection. 

A wide range of measured values can be viewed on the front LCD or remotely via the communications channel. The integrated control feature allows the safe operation of a motor and monitoring its start and stop operations.

Siemens Reyrolle 7SR157 Numerical Relays Prices: 
The Reyrolle 7SR157 Argus is a combined check and system synchronising relay designed to carry out controlled closing of a circuit breaker using measurements of the line and bus voltages. The relay will prevent closure of the circuit breaker if the differences in phase angle, slip frequency or magnitude of the voltages fall outside prescribed Limits.

 

If the parameters are within limits, the relay will issue an output which can be used to close the circuit breaker directly or in conjunction with an auto-reclose scheme.

 

Housed in a 4U high, size E4 case, the relay provides instrumentation and fault data with integrated input and output logic, data logging and fault reports. Communication access to the relay functionality is via a front USB port for local PC connection or rear electrical RS 485 port for remote Connection.

The Reyrolle 7SR158 Argus voltage and frequency relays are numerical, multifunctional devices, with functionality designed for connection to voltage transformers. The voltage and frequency functionality is supplemented by data storage, instrumentation, user configurable logic and data communication features. A menu based user friendly interface provides local access to relay settings, instruments and operational data. The fascia also benefits from 9 user configurable, tri-coloured LEDs and a USB port for PC access.The key functions provided include 27/59 -Under and Over voltage, 81 -Under and Over frequency, 78 -Voltage vector shift and 81R -Rate of change of frequency.Relays have three voltage inputs, six binary inputs and eight binary outputs and are housed in a size E4 case. Programmable logic is provided to allow the optimal configuration of relay functionality. A rear electrical RS485 port is provided for SCADA connection using either IEC60870-5-103, DNP3.0 or MODBUS RTU protocol.

The 7SR23 DAD is a numeric high impedance circulating current relay has four current inputs, it is used as a unit protection to detect phase and earth faults.

 

The relay can be applied to bus bars, connections, transformers, reactors and motors.

 

The relay is used in ‘high impedance’ applications in conjunction with external stabilising resistors and non-linear resistors (Metrosils). Standardised external components can be provided in an Epsilon case to facilitate design and installation.

 

The integral CT supervision feature detects open circuits in the CT secondary wiring circuits, a consideration where CT circuits are switched.

 

Relays are housed in E6 or E8 cases. Integrated logic is provided to allow the optimal configuration of relay input and output functionality. Protection, instrumentation and metering functionality is accessible via data comms channels. A front fascia USB port for local connection and RS 485 rear port for remote connection are provided as standard, additional rear ports are available as options..

The 7SR210 series of relays provide overcurrent and earth fault protection. These relays are typically applied to provide the main protection on feeders and interconnectors and the back-up protection on items of plant such as transformers, Relays have four current inputs and are housed in E6 or E8 cases.

 

7SR220 series relays include for directional control of the overcurrent and earth fault functionality and are typically installed where fault current can flow in either direction i.e. on interconnected systems. Relays have five current and four voltage inputs they are housed in E6 or E8 cases.

 

Integrated logic is provided to allow the optimal configuration of relay functionality with the relays analogue inputs and binary input/output circuits. The optional auto-reclose feature offers an integrated solution for use on OHL feeders.

 

The relay functionality allows highly flexible settings for current and time grading making it compatible with all types of overcurrent protections.

 

Protection, instrumentation and metering functionality is accessible via data comms channel(s). A front USB port for local PC connection and rear electrical RS 485 port for remote connection are provided as standard, additional ports are available as options.

The 7SR242 is used as a protection, control and monitoring relay for two winding transformers of all vector groups, primary configurations/connections and earthing connections.

The relay functionality also allows its application in auto-transformer and reactor protection schemes.

The 7PG23 electro-mechanical single phase circulating current protection is used to detect earth faults in ‘high impedance’ protection schemes. The relay is typically applied used in transformer protection schemes.

One relay per phase can be applied to detect both phase and earth faults e.g. on reactors and stator windings of large machines.

The relay is a voltage operating device and has a user selectable operate voltage setting. The relay can be used in conjunction with an external shunt setting resistor where a higher operate current is required. An integral non-linear resistor limits over-voltages occurring during system faults. Operation flag indicator. Relays are housed in size E3 cases.

The 7PG21 is a three phase unit differential protection used to detect in zone phase and earth faults. The relay is applied to overhead line and underground cable circuits as well as shorter circuits such as interconnectors.

Relays (and associated CTs) are installed at each end of the protected circuit and connected together with dedicated metallic pilot wires.

The SIPROTEC 7SA522 relay provides full-scheme distance protection and incorporates all functions usually required for the protection of a power line. The relay is designed to provide fast and selective fault clearance on transmission and subtransmission cables and overhead lines with or without series capacitor compensation. The power system star point can be solid or resistance grounded (earthed), resonant-earthed via Peterson coil or isolated. The SIPROTEC 7SA6 distance protection relay is a universal relay for protection, control and automation with a graphic display on the basis of the SIPROTEC 4 system. Its high level of flexibility makes it suitable to be implemented at all voltage levels. With this relay you are ideally equipped for the future: it offers security of investment and also saves on operating costs.

Multifunction Protection Relay

The SIPROTEC 4 7SJ61 relays can be used for line protection of high and medium voltage networks with earthed (grounded), low-resistance earthed, isolated or compensated neutral point. When protecting motors, the SIPROTEC 4 7SJ61 is suitable for asynchronous machines of all sizes. The relay performs all functions of backup protection supplementary to transformer differential protection

 

The relay provides control of the circuit breaker, further switching devices and automation functions. The integrated programmable logic (CFC) allows the user to implement their own functions, e. g. for the automation of switchgear (interlocking). The user is also allowed to generate user-defined messages. The flexible communication interfaces are open for modern communication architectures with control systems.

The 7SD5 relay provides full scheme differential protection and incorporates all functions usually required for the protection of power lines. It is designed for all power and distribution levels and protects lines with two up to six line ends. The relay is designed to provide high-speed and phase-selective fault clearance. The relay uses fiber-optic cables or digital communication networks to exchange telegrams and includes special features for the use in multiplexed communication networks. Also, pilot wires connections can be used with an external converter. This contributes toward improved reliability and availability of the electrical power system. The relay is suitable for single and three-phase tripping applications for two up to six line ends. 

The 7SD5 has the following features:

  • 2 full-scheme main protections in one unit (differential and distance protection)
  • High-speed tripping 10 – 15 ms
  • The serial protection interfaces (R2R interfaces) of the relays can flexibly be adapted to the requirements of all communication media available.
  • If the communication method is changed, flexible retrofitting of communication modules to the existing configuration is possible.
  • Tolerates loss of one data connection in a ring topology (routing in 120 ms). The differential protection scheme is fully available in a chain topology.

  • Browser-based commissioning tool.
  • Fault locator for one and two terminal measurements for high accuracy on long lines with high load and high fault resistance.

      Transformer differential protection

      SIPROTEC 7UT613

      The SIPROTEC 7UT613 differential protection relays are used for fast and selective fault clearing of short-circuits in transformers of all voltage levels and also in rotating electric machines like motors and generators, for short lines and busbars.

      Features

      The specific application can be chosen by parameterization. In this way an optimal adaptation of the relay to the protected object can be achieved.

       

      In addition to the differential function, a backup overcurrent protection for 1 winding/ star point is integrated in the relay. Optionally, a low or high-impedance restricted earth-fault protection, a negative-sequence protection and a breaker failure protection can be used. 7UT613 features 4 voltage inputs. With this option an overvoltage and undervoltage protection is available as well as frequency protection, reverse / forward power protection, fuse failure monitor and overexcitation protection. With external temperature monitoring boxes (thermo-boxes) temperatures can be measured and monitored in the relay. Therefore, complete thermal monitoring of a transformer is possible, e.g. hot-spot calculation of the oil temperature.

      7UT613 features full coverage of applications without external relays by the option of multiple protection functions e.g. overcurrent protection is available for each winding or measurement location of a transformer. Other functions are available twice: ground-fault differential protection, breaker failure protection and overload protection. Furthermore, up to 12 user-defined (flxible) protection functions may be activated by the customer with the choice of measured voltages, currents, power and frequency as input variables. The relays provide easy-to-use local control and automation functions.

      The integrated programmable logic (CFC) allows the users to implement their own functions, e.g. for the automation of switchgear (interlocking). User-defined messages can be generated as well. The flexible communication interfaces are open for modem communication architectures with control system.

        The 7VE61 and 7VE63 paralleling devices of the SIPROTEC 4 family are multifunctional compact units used for paralleling power systems and generators.

        Their technical design ensures highly reliable paralleling due to their 1-channel or 2-channel measurement method and their hardware design. This is supported by numerous monitoring functions. The units automatically detect the operating conditions. The response to these conditions depends on settings. In "synchronous network switching" mode, the frequency difference is measured with great accuracy. If the frequency difference is almost zero for a long enough time, the networks are already synchronous and a larger making angle is permissible.

        If the conditions are asynchronous, as is the case when synchronizing generators, the generator speed is automatically matched to the system frequency and the generator voltage to the system voltage. The connection is then made at the synchronous point, allowing for circuit-breaker make-time.

        The 7VE61 paralleling device is a 1-channel unit (paralleling function + synchro-check) for use with small to medium-size generators and power systems. It is more reliable than 1-channel paralleling devices. It can also be used for synchro-check, with parallel operation of three synchronization points.

        For larger generators and power systems with high reliability requirements, the 2-channel 7VE63 is recommended. Two independent methods decide on the connection conditions. The unit also has the full control functions of the SIPROTEC 4 family. Voltage and frequency functions (V>, V<, f>, f

        The integrated programmable logic functions (continuous function chart CFC) offer the user a high flexibility so that adjustments can easily be made to the varying requirements on the basis of special system conditions.

        The 7SD610 relay is a differential protection relay suitable for all types of applications and incorporating all those functions required for differential protection of lines, cables, and transformers. Transformers and compensation coils within the differential protection zone are protected by means of integrated functions, which were previously to be found only in transformer differential protection. It is also well-suited for complex applications such as series and parallel compensation of lines and cables.

         

        It is designed to provide differential and directional backup protection for all voltage levels and types of networks. The relay features high speed and phase-selective short circuit measurement. The unit is thus suitable for single-phase and three-phase fault clearance.

         

        Digital data communication for differential current measurement is effected via fiber-optic cables, networks or pilot wires connections so that the line ends can be quite far apart. The serial protection interface (R2R interface) of the relay can flexibly be adapted to the requirements of all existing communication media. If the communication method is changed, flexible retrofitting of communication modules to the existing configuration is possible.

         

        Apart from the main protection function, i.e. the differential protection, the 7SD610 has a full range of configurable emergency and/or backup protection functions such as phase and earth over current protection with directional elements if voltage transformers are connected. Overload, under and over-voltage/frequency and breaker failure protection round off the functional scope of the 7SD610.

        The SIPROTEC Compact 7RW80 is a numerical, multi function relay for connection to voltage transformers. It can be used in distribution systems, on transformers and for electrical machines. If the SIPROTEC Compact 7RW80 detects any deviation from the permitted voltage, frequency or over excitation values, it will respond according to the values set. The relay can also be applied for the purposes of system decoupling and for load shedding if ever there is a risk of a system collapse as a result of inadmissibly large frequency drops.

         

        An integrated load restoration function allows the re-establishment of the power system after recovery of the system frequency. The 7RW80 features “flexible protection functionsâ€Â. 20 additional protection functions can be created by the user. For example, a rate-of-frequency change or a rate of- voltage change function can be created. The relay provides circuit-breaker control, additional primary switching devices (grounding switches, transfer switches and isolating switches) can also be controlled from the relay.

         

        Automation or PLC logic functionality is also implemented in the relay. The integrated programmable logic (CFC) allows the user to add own functions, e.g. for the automation of switchgear (including: interlocking, transfer and load shedding schemes). The user is also allowed to generate user-defined messages.

         

        The communication module is independent from the protection. It can easily be exchanged or upgraded to future communication protocols.

        The SIPROTEC 7SC80 feeder protection can be used for protection and automation of medium voltage distribution feeders with grounded or low resistance grounded, isolated, or compensated neutral point.

         

        The 7SC80 features “flexible protection functions. 20 additional protection functions can be created by the user. For example, a rate of change of frequency function or a reverse power function can be created. The relay provides circuit-breaker control.

         

        Additional primary switching devices (grounding switches, transfer switches and isolating switches) can also be controlled from the relay. Automation or PLC logic functionality is also implemented in the device.         The line differential protection SIPROTEC 7SD80 has been conceived for selective line protection of power cables and overhead lines up to 24km for all kind of starpoint configurations. The implemented phase comparison algorithm is a fast and stable method for line protection in industry and distribution grids. The protection interface communication is carried out directly without external equipment over copper wires, optical fibers or both in redundancy. The wide scope of non directional and directional functions can be applied miscellaneously as emergency functions as well as backup functions. For instance the 7SD80 enables simplified and cost saving concepts for meshed grids and busbar protection by means of reverse interlocking. Fast and selective tripping is guaranteed even if the communication fails between the relays. The scope of functions includes protection functions as well as functions for control and monitoring. The interoperable connectivity to substation control systems is give by standard protocols like IEC61850. The general concept of redundancy for protection and its communication gets completed by Ethernet redundancy protocols (PRP, HSR, RSTP) and thus increases the total system availability. Integrated functions for commissioning help and easy settings lead to short commissioning times.

         

        Protection Interface Communication:


        • Data exchange of the differential protection function takes place by means of digital communication via integrated two-wire interface and / or an integrated fiber-optic interface. By parallel use of both options communication redundancy can be realised therefore.
        • Communication via the protection interface can further be used to send an intertripping command to the circuit-breaker at the opposite end, and to exchange at the same time up to 16 freely assignable binary signals between the 7SD80 relays.

        The SIPROTEC Compact 7SJ81 provides 4 low-power current transformer inputs and optionally 3 low-power voltage transformer inputs. With the same low-power current transformer (LPCT) a wide range of primary rated line currents can be covered. Objects with rated currents in the range of 40 A to 5000 A can be protected when using low-power current transformers.

        The following low-power current transformer ratios are suitable for the following primary current operating ranges:

        SIPROTEC 7SJ81 is a multi-functional motor protection relay. It is designed for protection of asynchronous motors of all sizes. The relays have all the functionality to be applied as a backup relay to a transformer differential relay.

         

        The relay provides numerous functions to respond flexibly to the system requirements and to deploy the invested capital economically. Examples for this are: exchangeable interfaces, flexible protection functions and the integrated automation level (CFC). Freely assignable LEDs and a six-line display ensure a unique and clear display of the process states. In combination with up to 9 function keys, the operating personnel can react quickly and safely in any situation. This guarantees a high operational reliability.

The relays have all the required functions to be applied as a backup relay to a transformer differential relay. The SIPROTEC Compact 7SK80 features “flexible protection functions.

         

        Up to 20 additional protection functions can be created by the user. Therefore protection of change for frequency or reverse power protection can be realized, for example. The relay provides circuit-breaker control, further switching devices and automation functions. The integrated programmable logic (CFC) allows the user to add own functions, e.g. for the automation of switchgear (interlocking). The user is also allowed to generate user-defined messages.

With the same low-power current transformer (LPCT) a wide range of primary rated line currents can be covered. Objects with rated currents in the range of 40 A to 5000 A can be protected when using low-power current transformers. The following low-power current transformer ratios are suitable for the following primary current operating ranges:

        The transformer differential protection SIPROTEC 7UT82 is a universal protection, control, and automation device on the basis of the SIPROTEC 5 system. It is specially designed for the protection two winding transformers. It is the main protection for the transformer and contains many other protection and monitoring functions.
